What is the daily program? The festival is mangala- oriented i recall. The presence at the daily events is required, including the mangala arotik. Service is also required from all. At evenings there will be an early bedtime, around 21.30, 22.00. Mangala arotik will (probably) be at 5am.
Will there be austerity? Yes, there will be. Austerity is eligible for the spiritual atmosphere. It is austerity to follow sadhana, for example. Nights are cooler and the morning is dewy. Sometimes there are mosquitoes. We'll try to provide hot water for everyone. Also, matajis do not expect that you will have the apartment. The rooms will be like sardine system, and in the bathroom also.
What is expected of me?
It is expected to be enthusiastic in Krishna consciousness! Take all the necessities (listed below). It is expected that you have registered, the sooner the better, because we have limited accommodation capacity (what to do - temple room has walls). Contact us via email or phone that you can find at the end of this text.
How can I help?
You can help by printing this letter and showing it to those who you know are coming to the camp but have no access to computer or you can, as soon as possible, tell them the main points from this letter by phone. You can ask those who are coming have they registered and remind them to notice us. This is unusually important because our capabilities are limited and by doing this you considerably simplify our organizational headache. If this is not enough of an answer, we recommend you to see a detailed response to a letter on this page under the heading- Support us. Maybe you can bring some bhoga or give your energy (help with something).
Will there be prasadam?
Yes it Will! You will not starve! See the photos of last year's kitchen, in photo gallery (the camera captures only image unfortunately not the smells :-).
Which Bhoga is needed the most?
Potatoes, peppers, tomatoes, all fruits, white flour T-500, olive oil, pumpkin oil, dairy products, citrus, semolina, peppers, tomatoes, potatoes.
Can I sell prasadam at the camp? No. There will not be prasadam on stands! We are the only responsible ones for your feeding.
Can I come unannounced if I have my own accommodation (tent or my friends in the village who promised to accommodate me)?
Explicit request from all devotees who come to us is to be announced. This was the rule of the game from the very beginning, and we explained our reasons for this attitude. It is not that only our accommodation is limited, but also everything is set for a festival up to 130 devotees-kitchen and prasadam, parking, and temple room has its own walls. It is fair to us as organizers to announce yourself, and it is also fair to all those devotees who respect the rules of the game.
What do I need to bring?
Personal hygiene, tilak, vaisnava clothes (obligatory for all, that is for not to blush, if you do not have it and sannyasi, noticing that you don't have dhoti, buys one at the stand and donates-known to happen!) shoes for outside, a warm clothing- in the morning temperature is plus 12-16 , socks- floor in the temple room gets cold, mat for sitting (if you do not have then you can use karimati) where you'll sit in the temple room, sleeping bag, some prabhus can bring a tent. We also ask all matajis specially (and prabhus) to take a lot of gamchas (or towel if you do not have the gamcha) because we are unable to provide you a separate bathroom, there will be a couple of matajis in one bathroom that will indeed have a place for taking a shower for a few at a time but you'll need to have a pair of gamcha to put on when showering.
What is also good to have with you? Flashlight (batteries), repellents (for rejecting the mosquitoes), caps against the sun, Karimati-not to sleep on the hard floor, I recall-mataji mostly go to the house prabhus outside). If you have you can bring some incense- namely the temple room is in the open and the scent is quickly lost, and it is nice for the pleasure of the Lord. Yours in the service of Prabhupada Murari Gupta das -
